Australian Compliance Summary
This page is written for Australian customers using opsui.au. It summarises the legal and compliance position we apply for Australian businesses, with priority given to Melbourne, VIC and applicable Commonwealth law. It is not legal advice and does not replace the signed order form or any negotiated customer agreement.
- Privacy Act and APPs: We handle Australian personal information with reference to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and OAIC guidance on collection notices, use and disclosure, access, correction, security, and cross-border disclosure.
- Notifiable Data Breaches: If an eligible data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess promptly and notify affected individuals and the OAIC where required by the NDB scheme.
- Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies non-excludable guarantees, rights, remedies, or protections under the Australian Consumer Law, including Victorian fair trading obligations where applicable.
- Spam Act and direct marketing: Commercial electronic messages must be consent-based, identify OpsUI, and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. We do not use demo requests as permission to spam.
- GST and tax invoices: Australian pricing is shown in AUD. GST treatment, invoice content, and tax-invoice requirements are handled according to Australian tax requirements where applicable.
